Head of Marketplace


Shoptet is one of the fastest-growing technology companies in the region. We help companies and individuals easily start and grow their businesses online.

We’re looking for a person who will lead the add-ons marketplace, which became an important part of emerging and advanced merchant’s daily operations. We managed to significantly grow our marketplace recently and we would like to focus more on nurturing current partnerships and the quality of add-ons. You will lead a team of 3 and all of you will be part of our Product department represented by our CPO Tomáš Mitana.

What will be your agenda:

  • Developing and executing our Marketplace strategy.
  • Managing the team – goal setting, personal development, KPIs, etc.
  • Collaboration across the company (API team, Product team, Customer Success team,…).
  • Strategic development of the add-on marketplace and nurturing current cooperations.
  • Supervising the management and testing of new add-ons and their final deployment in production.
  • Ensuring the highest quality technical support for add-ons.

Our expectations:

  • Previous leadership experience. This isn’t the right role for first-time managers.
  • Business development skillset. Add-ons are significant revenue drivers.
  • Strategic and critical thinking. Someone able to take charge and own Marketplace agenda
  • Knowledge of the e-commerce environment is a strong advantage.
  • Great empathy and ability to create long-lasting relationships as add-ons are win-win-win solutions for our clients, our partners, and also us and we want all three parties to be as successful as possible
  • Fluent in Czech or Slovak, and advanced in English

  • Case study presentation with audience – ideally in person

Our story

14 years ago, our founder wanted to fulfill a pretty simple dream – to start an e-shop. But he found that there was no simple solution on the market. And so Shoptet was born with a mission to help people do business online. We grew slowly and our biggest boom came in 2020 when many merchants were forced to move online due to the pandemic. We now have 250 employees across three countries, countless success stories, and most importantly over 38 000 clients whose entrepreneurial spirit keeps us going.
