What will be your agenda?
Our team is developing a new generation of Shoptet storefronts. Using a new stack of React and Next.js, we are creating an SDK for theme and addon developers, building a visual editor for our merchants, and setting up the hosting and deployment of thousands of future storefronts. You will participate in all of this, with a focus on front-end polishing.
- You will be part of a remote team of independent, senior developers, our team has a strong democratic culture.
- You will be deciding on the strategy for working with assets (styles, images) in the new themes and add-ons.
- We need you to help us with optimizing the front-end performance metrics, making sure all our websites are blazing fast.
- Accessibility is another area which you’ll oversee, both for the editor and the themes themselves.
- You will explore how to enable our developers to utilize various CSS frameworks and libraries in their themes and addons, without hindering the page performance.
- You’ll work with our product manager and UX designer on creating neat editing experience in the new visual editor – good UX thinking is a huge plus.
- You won’t be afraid to tell us we’re doing things wrong, and you’ll show us how to do it better.

A senior frontend developer who would complement our team with a focus on the very front of the frontend, such as web performance, accessibility, and knowledge of recent HTML and CSS developments.
- Good knowledge of Typescript and some modern JS framework, at least basic experience with React (Next.js is a plus).
- Strong front-end skills (5+ years of experience), staying up to date with the latest CSS developments, knowledge of modern CSS frameworks.
- Fast, abstract thinking, the ability to understand concepts with multiple levels of complexity.
- A proactive communicator who realizes the challenges of remote work and the need to keep everyone in sync with their progress.
- Plus: Experience with UX design, building e-commerce websites and visual editors.
- Plus: A keen eye for design with attention to visual detail.
